Loon Mountain: More Trails + Bigger Lift

STARTING IN 2022 Kancamagus 8 and the Governor Adams Lodge Base Area will be the new bike headquarters at Loon.

Kanc 8, the most technologically advanced chairlift in the East, will offer bikers an unmatched experience from the bottom to the top. Riders will load the lift inside Kanc 8’s unique open-air parking structure, which provides protection in all types of weather. Once seated, riders will get a feel for Kanc 8’s speed—an upgrade from the current Seven Brothers Triple. At the top, riders will unload their own bikes thanks to Dopplemayr’s patented Bike Clip transport system.

Kanc 8 will access existing bike park trails as well as all future terrain. By the end of summer 2022, over 4 miles (23,000 ft.) of new terrain is scheduled to open—including our first Freeride Black trail that will be over 1 mile in length. Our team has gotten a head start on trail construction and they expect to hit the ground running when the snow melts in the spring.
