Quebec: Flurry of news in ski resorts

A promising 2023-24 season

The ski resorts will surprise you this winter with amazing new features across Quebec. New lifts, new trails, modernized snowmaking systems, new groomers and new lift access gates (RFID technology) are among the major announcements for the upcoming winter season, guaranteeing a renewed and enhanced customer experience.

The following list gives a foretaste of winter:

Bas-Saint-Laurent
  • New Coolbox accommodations, new groomer and more at Parc du Mont Saint-Mathieu
  • New groomer and two new snow guns at Parc du Mont-Comi
Eastern Townships
  • Numerous improvements to Mont Orford's snowmaking system (new pump and new stationary snow guns)
  • New loading carpet, new groomer, new snow guns and new pumping system at Mont Sutton
  • Improvements to the multiple snow parks and acquisition of a depth gauge at Owl's Head

Centre-du-Quebec
  • RFID technology implementation, new alpine touring trail and new snow park at Gleason.
Chaudière-Appalaches
  • Opening of the new main chalet, new learning zone and new Coolbox accommodation at Mont Adstock
  • New off-trail ski area and micro-cottage accommodation at Le Massif du Sud
Gaspésie
  • New groomer and new rental equipment at Le Petit Chamonix
Lanaudière
  • New boutique and redesign of the chalet’s interior, new mountain bypass trail and new snow guns at
Ski Garceau
  • Several new trails, skating rink at the foot of the slopes and much more at Val Saint-Côme
Laurentians
  • New glades at Vallée Bleue
  • New loading carpet, new groomer and modernized snowmaking system at Mont Blanc
  • New lift and new snow guns at Sommet Olympia
  • Two new trails added at Mont Habitant
  • New groomer at Sommet Saint-Sauveur
  • New snow guns at Sommet Gabriel
  • New snow guns at Sommet Morin Heights
  • RFID technology implementation at Tremblant
  • Automated snowmaking system on the Express Ouest trail and refurbishment of the main Pavilion, as well as a new double carpet for tubing at Sommet Saint-Sauveur (Avila side).
Mauricie
  • New family entertainment building and three new snow parks at Vallée du Parc
Outaouais
  • Opening of all services in the new main chalet at Camp Fortune
Montérégie
  • Four web cameras installed at Ski Saint-Bruno
Québec
  • RFID technology implementation at centre de ski Le Relais
Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean
  • Two new glades at Valinouët

About the Quebec Ski Areas Association and the industry
The ASSQ is a non-profit organization grouping together Quebec’s 75 ski resorts. Its mission is to promote and defend the interests of its members that promote the practice of winter sports and improves product quality and resort performance. Established in the ski industry for over 40 years, its mandate to develop the next generation of skiers and snowboarders in Quebec is achieved primarily through the sale of financing products such as the Ski Passe-Partout. Every year, more than 50,000 young people are introduced to snow sports through ASSQ's various programs.
