TechnoAlpin: Production in full swing - a glimpse behind the scenesDuring the summer months, production runs at full speed here at TechnoAlpin. All of our snow guns are meticulously manufactured by hand at our production site in Bolzano, Italy, and then sent to customers in 50 countries worldwide. From development to production TechnoAlpin develops the various components of the snow guns, which are then manufactured by specialist producers, mainly in North Italy, Germany, France, and Austria. In order to ensure consistently high quality, suppliers must undergo regular audits. Supply Chain Management is a team of seven people who are responsible for planning, controlling, and monitoring the entire supply chain. Careful assembly process Once the individual components have arrived in the production hall, they are first taken to the pre-assembly area. This is where smaller components and cables are prefabricated, which are later fitted to snow guns or shafts. Amongst other things, this includes valves, lance heads, and control cabinets. Water-bearing units, such as nozzle rings, are tested for impermeability using a water pressure of 80 bar before final assembly. Turbines and the bases of fan guns are manufactured in two parallel lines and then fitted together in the final assembly department. After the turbines have been fitted to the base, it is time for wiring and cladding. Each machine undergoes rigorous electrical functionality testing and water testing, in order to ensure seamless functionality for every customer. The water used for this purpose is sustainably collected in a water tank and reused. Approximately 100 employees work in the manufacturing department, and assemble almost 100 fan guns, 200 lances and numerous other components each week. Ready to ship around the world After final assembly, the machines are prepared for transportation and then shipped. Each day, 30 fully loaded trucks depart from the production facilities of the world market leader. |
