TechnoAlpin: Shanghai opens the groundbreaking largest indoor ski hall in the world

At the beginning of September, Shanghai reached a new milestone in the world of winter sports in urban environments by opening L*Snow, the biggest indoor ski hall globally. A snowy winter landscape extends over an impressive area of 99,828 square meters, providing ideal conditions for skiing and snowboarding year-round. The ski hall was officially awarded the “biggest indoor ski area in the world” by the Guiness Book of Records.

The ultra-modern snowmaking technology is exclusively provided by global market leader TechnoAlpin. A total of 33 indoor snow guns ensures that the slopes in Shanghai are consistently blanketed with the highest quality of snow. The volume of snow produced corresponds to 54,000 cubic meters, ensuring long-lasting and optimal conditions for winter sports.

In addition to its ski slopes, L*Snow also offers generous areas for ice skating with a total surface area of 1,800 square meters. These are maintained by four ice resurfacers supplied by TechnoAlpin’s subsidiary company Engo, ensuring perfect ice quality for skaters.
