Doppelmayr NZ: 6-seater detachable chairlift and new T-Bar Coming to Cardrona

A brand new 6-seater detachable Doppelmayr chairlift will be installed this summer, ready to open for Winter '25. Soho is just behind the top of McDougall's Chondola and Captain's Express. It'll be awesome for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders.

While the Soho Basin chairlift is making headlines, there’s another exciting project underway at Cardrona! This summer, Doppelmayr is constructing a brand-new T-bar to service the terrain park. The lift is located between Big Bucks and Lil‘ Bucks.

This addition will be a game-changer for park riders, offering dedicated lift access and reducing pressure on other lifts across the mountain. A big step forward in enhancing the experience for freestyle skiers and snowboarders.
