Sunlight Mountain Resort: Replacement of the Segundo and Primo chairs

In the summer of 2023, USFS approved the permit to replace the Segundo Chair. The lift's installation delay was due to Sunlight needing help with the project from POMA. Sunlight Mountain has a talented staff that will be doing most of the work on the Segundo chair replacement, but there are a few items that the Sunlight needs POMA to complete. With the new Primo chair's installation, POMA will help with the Segundo chair installation as well. The new Primo chair, an Alpha Poma quad chair, is being manufactured in Grand Junction. The Primo Chairlift replacement is currently in the environmental review process with the USFS. The Forest Service and others have been working diligently on moving our Primo chairlift replacement proposal through the different phases to reach final approval.
