Leitner: The worlds first and only ropeway dedicated to apple transport

Exciting Innovation in Val di Non, Italy! 

The world’s first and only ropeway dedicated to apple transport has entered service. 

Developed by LEITNER, the fully automated Apple ropeway revolutionizes the way apples are moved. It features seamless loading and unloading systems and can transport up to 460 containers per hour, each weighing up to 300 kg. 

This installation will save up to 5.000 truck journeys annually, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. Apples are now efficiently transported from Melinda’s processing center to its underground storage facilities, making this a major step forward in sustainable agriculture and logistics.
