Ben Lomond Alpine Resort (AUS) Celebrates Record-Breaking Season with Strategic 2026 Investments

Ben Lomond Alpine Resort (BLAR) has enjoyed its most successful and longest winter season since opening on Friday, 6 June 2025, with operations scheduled to continue through 28 September 2025. Since December 2024, the resort has extended its season significantly thanks to its state-of-the-art snowmaking infrastructure, which has reliably produced snow coverage throughout winter.

This year, snowmaking has been bolstered by extremely low wet bulb temperatures averaging Minus 4 °C, combined with low humidity - ideal conditions for efficient snow production. These attributes, together with favourable weather, have made for a standout season.

Financially, turnover for the 2025 season has reached 110% compared to the previous year, enabling the resort to accelerate its expansion plans. Investments will include additional snowmaking capacity, upgrading pump infrastructure, and doubling both the rental fleet and rental building to meet rising demand. BLAR is also starting the investigation process of installing a new T-Bar within 3 years to replace older technology.
