Record Year for the HTI Group

Turnover rises to €1.622 billion, €42.5 million invested in research and development – currently 5,000 employees worldwide

The HTI Group ended the year 2025 with turnover up €221 million compared to the previous year. President Anton Seeber: “This is a significant result, which once again rewards and confirms our entrepreneurial vision of innovation, internationalization, and diversification.” At the same time, the Group is already looking forward to the most important news for 2026.

The HTI Group is enjoying robust growth once again. The 2025 annual results of the Group – which operates worldwide in the areas of ropeways (Leitner, Poma, Bartholet), snow groomers, crawler carriers and vegetation management systems (Prinoth and Jarraff), snowmaking and dust binding systems (Demaclenko, HKD and WLP), wind energy (Leitwind), hydropower (Troyer), and digitalized ski area management (Skadii) – show a new record of €1.622 billion.

This represents an increase of 15.8% compared to the previous year.
This overall growth is accompanied by significant figures in both research and development investment and in employee numbers. The workforce has grown to 5,000 employees worldwide, while investments in research and development (€42.5 million) signal an extremely positive outlook for the business year and the future. The €3.3 million spent by the Group on staff training has also had a positive effect.

43 Per Cent of Turnover in the Alpine Region, Diversification as the Secret to Success

43% of the Group’s turnover is generated in the Alpine region, 26% in North America, 11% in Asia, and 9.5% in Central and South America. The ropeway sector remains the largest contributor, accounting for 60% of total Group turnover. In 2025, more than 80 new ropeways were installed, over 1,000 snow groomers, crawler carriers and vegetation management systems, and more than 2,000 snow guns sold. “Our strategy has once again proved successful. It is based on three key pillars: diversification, internationalization, and innovation. But above all, it is rooted in the performance and expertise of our employees,” commented HTI President Anton Seeber. “Last year in particular, we were able to demonstrate impressively how flexible and adaptable we are as a Group. This flexibility is no coincidence, but the result of a clear strategic direction and a corporate culture that relies on resilience, personal responsibility, and tangible results.”

Strong Growth in the Ropeway Sector

2025 was a year of superlatives for the ropeway companies. Leitner, Poma, and Bartholet completed installations in Spain, Norway, Argentina, Colombia, China, Japan, Vietnam, Algeria, and Madagascar, among others. Leitner made an especially strong return to the Italian market, where 18 installations were inaugurated last season, with a total modernization volume of €85 million – stretching from the Abruzzo to the Aosta Valley, Emilia-Romagna, Piemont, Trentino, South Tyrol, and Friuli. Furthermore, Leitner, in collaboration with Melinda in Trentino, delivered the apple ropeway “Funivia delle Mele”.

The Group was also able to demonstrate its expertise in top-level sport once again. For the construction projects for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Leitner supplied an inclined elevator and Demaclenko provided snowmaking technology for the ski jumping hill in Predazzo (Val di Fiemme, Trentino). At the same time, the Group presented a major contract worth €53 million at the Interalpin fair last May for the Norwegian Alpine Ski World Championships in Narvik in 2029. Leitner, Prinoth, and Demaclenko will be showcasing their top innovations from the field of winter technology for this event.

In 2025, Prinoth introduced the Panther XL crawler carrier for extreme missions in Antarctica. This vehicle, designed for use under the world’s harshest conditions, is supporting the Norwegian Polar Institute in expanding the historic Troll research station.

Leitner Poma of America built 16 new cable car installations in North America, and last autumn Poma launched “Angelo”, the fourth urban gondola lift in France, in Ajaccio, Corsica, introducing a new form of mobility on the island.

For Skadii’s digitalization specialists, summer 2025 marked a real revolution: with technology initially developed for ski resorts, the company’s new visitor frequency monitoring system is now also serving tourist destinations.

The year 2025 also brought significant corporate news: The addition of HKD Snowmakers, a company specializing in technical snowmaking with bases in the USA and Canada, strengthens HTI’s position in the North American market.

Positive Outlook for 2026 – Focus on Innovation and Efficiency

The year 2026 will be marked by numerous projects, many of which will begin construction or be completed in the coming months. One of the most significant is the nearly six-kilometer “Cervino The One” ropeway system in the “Cervino Ski Paradise” ski area in the Aosta Valley. Leitner will build two new tricable gondola lifts here, connecting Cervinia (Italy) with the Plateau Rosa at the border between Italy and Switzerland. The company will also be involved in further international ropeway projects, particularly in Mexico, where four projects are planned in Morelia, Naucalpan, and two new Cablebus lines in Mexico City.

Bartholet, the ropeway manufacturer, is completing a particularly prestigious project in India this year. Varanasi is currently witnessing the construction of the country’s first urban gondola lift, which will soon revolutionize transport in the metropolis. The Group’s construction program also includes a ropeway in the Himalayas (India) and a record-breaking tricable gondola lift in Vietnam, realized by Poma.

In the wind energy sector, Leitwind is focusing this year on Turkey with the world’s first 2.0 MW LTW90 turbine, while Demaclenko has recently unveiled the new Titan 5.0 snow gun. This machine can produce more and better-quality snow, particularly

at threshold temperatures, while consuming significantly less energy. There is also exciting news from Prinoth: The company recently introduced the Panther T23r in Las Vegas, the largest and most technologically advanced crawler carrier with a rotating tower in the industry. In addition, the company will unveil a new electric snow groomer at the “Mountain Planet” international trade fair in Grenoble, taking top performance and sustainability to a new level.
