Schweitzer Adds New Ways to Ski, Learn, Apres and Save for Winter 2026-27

3-Packs for $249, lodging from $159 and new ski and on-mountain programs offer more ways to experience the mountain this winter

SANDPOINT, Idaho – Schweitzer is preparing for the 2026-27 winter season with new ways to learn to ski and enjoy the mountain, including Learn to Ski and Women’s Wednesdays programs, dining additions and experiences ranging from private night skiing to intimate on-mountain dinners. Skiers and riders can also find 3-Packs for $249 and winter lodging starting at $159 per night. Schweitzer plans to open Nov. 27, conditions permitting.

“We’re always looking for ways to make a day at Schweitzer even better, whether that means making it easier for someone to learn to ski, creating more ways to spend time on the mountain or adding something new to the experience,” said Tom Chasse, president and chief operating officer of Schweitzer. “This winter gives guests even more options, whether they’re here for a few days, learning for the first time or looking for a new way to experience a mountain they already know and love.”

NEW Learn to Ski in 3

First time skiers who complete Schweitzer’s new Learn to Ski in 3 program will earn a free Schweitzer Grad Pass, unlocking unlimited skiing from March through Closing Day. Designed for guests ages 13 and older looking to learn and progress on skis or snowboards, the $425 program includes three group lessons with lift access, professional instruction and equipment rentals. Complete all three lessons, and participants earn a Grad Pass to keep building skills and enjoying the mountain throughout the spring.

NEW Women’s Wednesdays

A new six-week program is bringing women together to build skills, confidence and community on the mountain. Women’s Wednesdays welcomes skiers of all abilities, from beginners to advanced, for weekly instruction from 9 a.m. to noon. After each session, participants can head to Sky House to recap the day with special discounts on food and drinks. The six-week program is $450 per person.
NEW Dining and Group Experiences

After debuting this summer as Schweitzer’s first food truck, The Schwagon heads into its first ski season with a new location and winter menu. The Schwagon will move from the Village to the Red Barn parking lot, Schweitzer’s primary park-and-ride location, serving hot breakfast favorites, including breakfast burritos and coffee, before guests head up the mountain.

Après is also getting a little sweeter this winter with a new candy and ice cream shop at Lakeview Lodge. Located just steps from the slopes, the shop will give families a casual stop for ice cream, classic candy favorites, souvenirs and an afternoon treat after a day on the mountain.

Schweitzer is adding three new experiences for groups this winter. Private Night Skiing offers exclusive after-hours access to Basin Express terrain, with options including an outdoor snow bar, private dining, an après-ski reception or lodging. Smaller groups can book a six-course Crow’s Bench Cellar Dinner with wines selected by Schweitzer’s on-mountain sommelier, while the new Rowdy Grouse Elopement Package offers an on-mountain wedding option for up to 10 guests Monday through Thursday.

More Ways to Ski, Stay and Save

Winter’s closer than you think. Schweitzer Season Passes and 3-Packs are on sale now starting at $249 for a limited time. With options to fit every budget, skiers and riders are invited to get the most out of the mountain with a Schweitzer Unlimited Pass, ski like a local with a Sunday-Friday Pass, or get the ultimate value offer with a Schweitzer 3-Pack. Season Pass Sale ends November 15, while limited quantities of Schweitzer 3-Packs at $249 are available until sold out.

Winter lodging stays are on sale now through September 30, with 25% off 3 or more nights and rates at as low as $159 per night. For a complete list of deals and packages, visit https://www.schweitzer.com/plan-your-trip/deals-and-packages.

Sky House Celebrates 10 Years

This winter marks the 10th anniversary of Sky House, Schweitzer’s summit lodge located at the top of the Great Escape Quad. From the mountain’s highest point, Sky House offers panoramic views of Lake Pend Oreille and, on clear days, across Idaho, Washington and Montana and into Canada. The lodge is home to two dining options: the quick-service Red Hawk Café and The Nest, a sit-down restaurant. Scenic foot passenger tickets are also available, allowing non-skiers to ride to the summit to experience Sky House and the views.

Schweitzer Creek Village Construction Continues

Work continues this winter on Schweitzer Creek Village, a long-term development that will eventually create a second base area for the mountain. Construction on a new day-use parking area continued over the summer, building on the Creekside Quad and new skier bridge already added in the area. Future phases are planned to add additional skier services, including dining and ticketing, as Schweitzer Creek Village continues to develop.
