NSAA shares ski industry policy priorities with members of CongressLast month, members of the NSAA Board of Directors, leaders of state and regional ski associations, and NSAA staff descended upon Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to share ski industry policy priorities with members of Congress. NSAA Team participated in more than 45 meetings focused on J-1 and H-2B visas, Forest Service reorganization and staffing capacity, international trade and tariffs, and other key issues. NSAA hosted a reception in partnership with the Congressional Ski & Snowboard Caucus to make further connections with lawmakers and staff. Christopher Lillis, U.S. Ski Team member and ski aerials gold medalist, generously joined us for the full day of activities and helped make the experience memorable for both ski industry participants and our partners in Washington. In addition, NSAA and the Forest Service renewed our partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Washington, D.C. last week. This agreement is renewed every five years to reflect evolving priorities in managing public lands for developed recreation. |
