Prinoth Appoints Andrew Nicolas as CEO, U.S. Snow Grooming DivisionIndustry veteran brings deep engineering expertise, mountain lifestyle, and technology-driven leadership to Prinoth Prinoth is pleased to announce the appointment, last month, of Andrew Nicolas as Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Snow Grooming, strengthening the company’s leadership as it continues to advance innovation and performance in snow grooming across North America. Andrew Nicolas brings a lifelong connection to snow and a proven background in heavy equipment, engineering, and leadership. He grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula skiing and snowmobiling lake-effect snow off Lake Superior and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Andrew spent 17 years with John Deere Construction & Forestry, including 14 years in sales and marketing roles, followed by leadership positions within Deere’s construction distribution network covering the U.S. mountain region. In 2013, he relocated to Utah to raise his family in the mountains—trading cornfields for chairlifts and backcountry terrain while remaining closely connected to the snow industry. In his new role at Prinoth, Andrew brings together his passion for mountain sports with decades of experience in diesel-hydraulic equipment and advanced engineering. He is energized by Prinoth’s industry-leading snow groomers and its commitment to innovation, from machine design and operator control systems to Prinoth Connect, snow depth measurement, e-motion, and hydrogen technology. As Andrew puts it, “it’s the perfect match: cutting-edge technology, precision equipment, and a brand that continues to lead the way in snow grooming. It really gets the engineering nerd in me fired up,” said Nicolas. “With Andrew’s leadership, Prinoth continues to reinforce its position at the forefront of snow grooming technology, sustainability, and performance—supporting resorts, trail systems, and winter operators across in the United States and across the globe,” Horst Haller, CEO Prinoth Snow Groomers and Board Member Prinoth Group.
