Mönichkirchen-Mariensee (Austria): excellent slopes for satisfied TechnoAlpin customers.

In the Mönichkirchen-Mariensee ski complex particular importance is attributed to perfect slopes and it's become known as the latest area with the Skiareatest (international ski area tests) held in the 2006/07 season: once the “jewel” of the ski areas of Lower Austria it was chosen both as the emerging area of the year, and as the winner of the tests in the “slope care” category. With constant emphasis on the concept of service, under the management of Gerald Gabauer, continual investments have been made in the quality of the skiing area. Three ultramodern four-seater chairlifts, one skilift and a rope tow for the youngest skiers ensure the necessary comfort during the upward journey. Investments on expanding the slopes, high safety networks, collision protection padding etc. ensure the necessary safety on the slopes. More than 420 parking spaces at the access points of Mönichkirchen Sonnenbahn and Mariensee Panoramabahn complete the picture and guarantee a stress-free trip.

With the new creation of the Panoramabahn the demand for transport on the slopes has grown considerably as a result of the increased number of day trips. And to continue to offer excellent preparation in this sector, the Mariensee trail and the FIS trail will be equipped with a TechnoAlpin snowmaking system – to guarantee snow from December to the beginning of April!

With the new TechnoAlpin snow-making system, snow cover at the Mönichkirchen-Mariensee ski center will technically be 100% guaranteed. First of all, however, the snow experts, in collaboration with the Mönichkirchen-Mariensee ski complex, will have to resolve a number of technical challenges. The existing snow-making system must in fact be included in the system and the capacity of the water and electricity supply lines must be increased. This is also an all-inclusive project, which means that all the work is coordinated by TechnoAlpin. Only the excavation work and the concrete structures are the customer's responsibility. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of October.
