Berkshire East: Mass Save Climate Leader Award at the Massachusetts State House in Boston

Berkshire East Mountain Resort was selected as the 2023 Climate Leader for our ongoing investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency.  Included in the initiatives are:
  • 1800 panel solar array which produces 500kWh of electricity
  • 277 foot tall wind turbine which produces 900kWh of electricity
  • high efficiency LED lighting for night skiing
  • variable speed electric compressors for snowmaking pumps 
  • and more!  
Berkshire East is the first ski resort in the world to produce 100% of electricity needs on site from renewable resources. 

Through these efforts, Berkshire East has eliminated over 150 tons of greenhouse gas emissions so far.
